Programs outputs and analyses of data related to product development in an R&D environment, using statistical software (e.g., SAS) to create and maintain tables, listings, figures (TLF), and other outputs.
Duties:
- Independently write, maintain, and run SAS programs to produce desired outputs related to one or more aspects of a clinical trial or project, and other assigned programming tasks.
- Tasks vary by assignment but may include, for example, programming of data sets; tables, listings, and figures; or other specialized reports and listings.
- With general supervision, interact with trial and project statisticians to ensure production of quality outputs ensure programming outputs that adhere to specifications and are in accordance with established validation plans.
- May train or mentor new/junior staff or act in advisory capacity for technical challenges.
- Contribute to efforts related to project-level activities. Ensure and manage quality and timeliness for assigned tasks for designated projects and submissions.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with department counterparts.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Understanding and application of programming principles, theories, and concepts in the field.
- Statistical Programming go-to person for assigned protocols or tasks.
- Helps develop approaches to solutions as technical problems arise on project.
- Proposed solutions are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with need.
- Quality and timeliness of all deliverables for projects.
- Compliance with internal and external standards as measured by audit findings.
Requirements:
- Four year degree in scientific discipline with related coursework.
- 8+ years of SAS software systems experience with 5+ years experience in clinical trials research programming.
- Knowledge of two or more hardware platforms.
- Ability to perform effectively in team environment.
- Very good writing skills and above average communication skills required
